The best of Halloween

After spending 3 years living in the States and celebrating 3 fabulous Halloweens, I am so pleased Australia is finally catching on to a purely fun, non present driven celebration. In Geelong there is a great trick a treating walk down Pakington Street that my kids start counting down for the day after Halloween.

Here are some of my current favorite images from this spooky time of year.

I LOVE these and if I didn't have the Baby Market on this weekend and wasn't packing to move I would soooooooo try this...maybe next year. If you go to Design Sponge there are more photos and a 'how to'

Happy Halloween and Happy Weekend everyone.

  1. Ooooohhh, so love the pumpkin carvings. Hilarious and very clever.

My two also make plans for Pakington Street Trick or Treating a year in advance. This year I am going to be accompanied by a mermaid, and a fairy obsessed by spiders. Miss 3 has been asking for a packet of 20 spiders about the size of a 20c piece every time we go past the toy shop. I'm appreciating the Halloween displays, but will be glad when those spiders have gone!

  5. I did the trek around Pako with the family and boys - 'twas a good afternoon for them, as usual...although the hard lollies are a bit much for the two year old!
