these photos took my breath away

I came across these shots and was so taken by them, I also felt a bit of jealousy because I would love, love, love to take images like this.

The woman behind this is Amalia Chimera and she also has an etsy shop (oh how I love etsy) where you can purchase her gorgeous prints.

Seduced by Home Love and Kobo

I had to leave the house today whilst it was open for inspection (so sick of cleaning my house) so I popped into town and did a little time wasting at Borders. I was seduced by 2 things.

The first was finding out about Megan Morton who also has a great blog and has released a fabulous book called Home Love: 100 Inspiring Ideas For Creating Beautiful Rooms. I sunk into the couch at Borders and devoured every page. Love everything about it, makes me want to totally have a do over of my current style.

The second item which I have totally poo poo'ed in the past when I have seen the amazon version was the Kobo e reader. I have to say right now that I love books, always have and always will. I dream of my big light filled library that I will have in my newly styled home. It will be filled from floor to ceiling with books of all types. I like the feel of the pages and even the smell of a book both old and new.

BUT I am also the gadget queen, I am permanently attached to my iphone and my lap top is open before my eyes are every day so it seems only normal to be seduced by the lovely shiny Kobo e reader. It comes loaded with 100 books, I can take it everywhere and when I am caught out with some time to kill, out it comes, the trusty Kobo.

Would love to know peoples thoughts, does anyone have one? does anyone have kindle?know anyone who has one? feedback please.

I am so in LOVE with this......

...........wallpaper by Catherine Hammerton.

I am so ridiculously addicted to surfing the net and my heart skips a beat at some of the truly amazing things I find. As far as what style I would like in my dream 'forever' home, I am not sure. I love clean, modern lines and no clutter. Then the very next day I adore shabby chic, vintage, over stuffed couches and bookcases overflowing with books and gorgeous things. Then I am all over a rustic mountain cabin look.

Is it just me? or are other people also this indecisive over their personal style?

This is todays fave, who knows what tomorrow may bring.

Melbourne Craft and Stitches Show

Yesterday I head off to Melbourne with my lovely Crafty friend Kristie to the Craft and Stitches Show at Caulfield Racecourse. A great day out for us crafty/arty types.

I thought I would give you some links to who and what I particuarly liked.

I go slightly weak at the knees when I see all the offerings at Kelani Fabrics. A candy store for sewers.
If you missed out you can of course shop online.

I totally LOVED this new product for kids. My son builds all day long with boxes, egg cartons, loo rolls and anything else he can get his hands on. We go through a lot of tape and rope so this offering from make do is most definately his type of a candy store. He has been constructing all day.

So many wonderful patterns and kits to buy from Craft Schmaft. Like Make Do above its a great way of recycling. All the gorgeous toys are made from socks. Isnt this little owl just too cute?

Next was the red thread. How could you not want one of these babushka dolls? One of the many offerings that Lisa has.

Jump on Jodies blog Vintagericrac who has a wicked sense of humour and some fabulous patterns for making the cutest little treasures.

how are these material postcards, the options are endless.

If I dont leave it here I could go on and on all night. My head is filled with ideas and lots of possibilities. I cant wait to start creating with all my lovely purchases.

Gorgeous Babushkas

My obsession with Babushkas contines, also known as matruschkas. These are designed by Andrea Schreiber.

I won a great prize

Even I get to win a fantastic prize. I have been an avid follower of Ali Edwards and have entered her awesome weekly competitions for about 2 years and have never come close. She had a huge giveaway for her Week In the Life project and I won the best prize, if I could have picked one that would have been it.

I have won a spot in Willette Designs Find The Joy Photography ecourse

So excited!!!!

I love taking photos of my children and am looking forward to improving. Here is a favourite I took on the weekend of one my my girls.
